Howdy y’all –
Well the running my ass off continues this month! Added three more states I’ve never been to to the list last week: MN, ND and SD. Here’s a picture of the Detroit Lakes Redneck Yacht Club at Boats & Bars 10:
This weekend, heading down to Houston for a show at the legendary Firehouse Saloon with Coley McCabe and our band, Jody Booth and Jason Statham on Saturday the 5th. Sunday 9/6 Coley and I will be in Lewisville at Cobra Brewing Co for Bobapalooza 6 which starts at 2. I think we go on around 5 or so.
Next week, Coley goes into the studio to start working on her next long-awaited project.
Then, it’s back to Houston, Kemah that is, for a solo show Wed 9/9 at T-bone Toms and Thurs 9/10 at Red Brick Tavern in Conroe.
Then, the weekend of the 11th, Coley and I head to New Orleans to shoot the video for “Little Miss Everything.” Contest winners David and Melanie Broadbridge will be treated to dinner and a private show from me before we head down to Spirits on Bourbon, which has been featured on Bar Rescue twice. Saturday the 12th we shoot the video and then on Monday the 14th I start working on my next CD project in Nashville with “5 O’Clock Somewhere” writer Moose Brown. .

Coley McCabe joins me as co-host and to celebrate being nominated as “Best Radio Show” for the 2015 Trop Rock Music Awards, we have extended the show length to one hour. And instead of a weekly show, now it will be monthly. This show features a wide range of music from Lyle Lovett, Robert Earl Keen, Chris Janson, Stoney LaRue, Jimmy Buffett, Coral Reefer band member Peter Mayer, Steve Martin & Edie Brickell (check out the link to their DVD here) Steep Canyon Rangers, Sunny Sweeney, Gabe Garcia, Mary Chapin Carpenter, and a new song from my RYC cowriter Steve Williams.
And of course, a song or two from Coley McCabe and yours truly.
