BBR Music Group Launches Fourth Label

Trace Adkins, Granger Smith First Artists Signed to Wheelhouse Records
BBR Music Group, label home to Jason Aldean, Thompson Square and others, is launching Wheelhouse Records as the company’s fourth label imprint. Trace Adkins and Texas singer-songwriter Granger Smith are the first artists signed to the new label.

Broken Bow Records was established as an independent label in 1999 by businessman Benny Brown, the company’s owner and CEO. Stoney Creek was created in 2009, followed by Red Bow in 2012.

During his tenure on Capitol Nashville, Adkins scored No. 1 hits with “(This Ain’t No) Thinkin’ Thing,” “Ladies Love Country Boys” and “You’re Gonna Miss This.” His last No. 1 single, “Hillbilly Bone,” a collaboration with Blake Shelton, was released in 2009. Adkins is expected to release a new single this fall.

Smith, who became a successful touring act based on a strong social media following, is currently on the country airplay charts with “Backroad Song.” He’s working with studio veteran Frank Rogers to co-produce his full-length debut album for Wheelhouse.

In addition to Aldean, Broken Bow’s artist roster includes Dustin Lynch, James Wesley, Jackie Lee, Jordan Rager and Kristy Lee Cook. The Stoney Creek roster includes Thompson Square, Randy Houser, Parmalee, Lindsay Ell and David Fanning. Chase Bryant, Craig Campbell, Brooke Eden and Joe Nichols record for Red Bow.
