Steve Williams, co-writer and co-founder of Redneck Yacht Club is currently performing again on Norwegian Cruise Line’s (NCL) ship, The Pride of America. NCL’s ship cruises between the Hawaiian Islands and today the ship is at port in Maui.
Steve’s a guest entertainer on the ship and has been performing on the Pride of America since 2010, performing four shows a week for about a month at a time.
“Aloha from Maui, everyone!”
“It’s a great time, cruising the islands and meeting the guests that join us each week. The ship starts each cruise on Saturdays from Oahu. We cruise to Maui where we spend two days, then we continue to the big island, stopping in Hilo and Kona. Then it’s on to Kauai for two days, and on the final day as we sail away from Kauai, we cruise past the breath taking Napali Coast. It’s really hard to say which island is my favorite as they’re all so unique and amazing.”
“Meeting guests from all of the world who know our song (RYC) is always a pleasure and it makes my day to know our song made them smile. I enjoy talking with all of them and they usually always ask what body of water we filmed the video on (Percy Priest Lake in Nashville, TN.) and want to know if the party cove we speak of was their party cove. Funny how we’re all so much the same all over the world.”
“In my free time, I’ll rent a car and head to the beach, see the sights or visit my favorite island restaurants. One of my favorites on Maui is Polli’s Mexican. It’s a nice watering hole if you’re heading up to Haleakala. I try each week to hook up with my long-time friend, John Edwards who lives on Oahu. He’s seen in one of the photos in the gallery here. If you live on Oahu and are looking for a great new car, he’s at the Acura dealership. He’ll do you right!”
“You can find out more about NCL’s Pride of America by visiting their website and you can find out if I’m cruising by checking my website: stevewilliamssongs.com and this blog. I’ll be back on the ship from July 18 – August 8th. and then again in November.”
“Going to head back to the ship now… Then it’s back to Nashville soon where I’ll be back to writing and performing with my band, The ConSoulers.”
“Mahalo (Thank you) and I’ll be in touch again soon!”
